MASSIVE CROWD DEFILES HEAVY DOWNPOUR, PRESENT AS HON. ESEWEZIE OFFICIALLY DECLARES FOR DELTA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

IBUSA — A powerful political momentum is building in Oshimili North as Executive Chairman Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie formally declared his intention to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly. The announcement, made at a well-attended enlarged APC stakeholders’ meeting, received massive, unified support from Party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters.

The meeting which held today 3rd of May 2026 and convened under the leadership of Oshimili North APC Chairman Hon. Austin Nnabuife, saw the Party throw its full weight behind Hon. Innocent Esewezie’s candidacy. This declaration builds on earlier moves, including a motion for his adoption by Barr. Fidel Okeze (Ward 6) and seconded by Hon. Stephen Okocha (Ward 7), as well as his emergence as the consensus candidate across the North-North axis.

Party faithfuls defiles the heavy rainfall and turned out in large numbers, demonstrating strong organic support.

The Illah Youths Association, led by Hon. Victor Nsolo, publicly endorsed him, while the Obuzor of Ibusa, HRM (Obi) Prof. Louis Chelunor Nwoboshi, conveyed royal backing through the Palace Secretary.

Stakeholders described Esewezie as a tested and trusted leader whose experience in grassroots governance makes him the ideal choice for purposeful representation.
