HON. INNOCENT ESEWEZIE EMERGES WINNER IN APC DELTA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRIMARY ELECTION

AKWUKWU-IGBO — Hon. Innocent Esewezie has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Oshimili North State Constituency in Delta State which held yesterday,Wednesday 20th of May 2026 across the 10 Wards in Oshimili North LGA of Delta State.

The Returning Officer, Hon. Chief Julius Eguvwebere, made the official announcement at the collation centre in Akwukwu-Igbo, stating that Hon. Innocent Esewezie, the incumbent Executive Chairman of Oshimili North LGA, polled a total of 13,952 votes.

The declaration was greeted with loud cheers, dancing and celebration by party supporters who had gathered in large numbers to witness the outcome.

In his acceptance speech, the jubilant Esewezie thanked APC leaders, delegates and the people of Oshimili North for the massive support and trust they placed in him. He described the victory as a collective mandate for unity and development, promising to deliver quality representation, push for grassroots projects and provide people-focused leadership if elected in 2027.

He also commended the Party for conducting a peaceful, transparent and credible primary, and urged all members to close ranks and work together towards victory in the general elections.

Party stakeholders and leaders at the event hailed Esewezie’s emergence as a reflection of his track record in community development and empowerment. They expressed confidence that the Party is now better positioned for success in the 2027 polls.
