GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI COMMISSIONS SHERIFF OBOREVWORI COTTAGE HOSPITAL, OKPANAM; COMMENDS ESEWEZIE

The newly constructed Sheriff Oborevwori Cottage Hospital in Okpanam has been officially commissioned, marking a significant milestone in the efforts to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery in Oshimili North Local Government Area. The landmark project, initiated by the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North LGA, Olorogun Innocent Esewezie, was commissioned on behalf of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, by the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, at a colourful and well-attended ceremony.
The commissioning also heralded the commencement of a six-day free medical and surgical outreach, offering residents access to consultations, treatment and other essential healthcare services at no cost. Speaking at the event, Sir Monday Onyeme commended Olorogun Innocent Esewezie for his vision, courage and commitment to improving the welfare of the people, describing the hospital as a practical example of people-oriented leadership and a valuable contribution to healthcare development at the grassroots. He noted that the facility would significantly improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Okpanam and surrounding communities.
The immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, also applauded Olorogun Esewezie for the initiative and his broader developmental strides across Oshimili North. The event attracted a distinguished gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, government officials, community stakeholders, healthcare professionals, women, youths and residents, including APC Delta State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka; Elder Moses Iduh; Hon.
