2-DAY SOUTH-SOUTH SUMMIT OF THE RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS REACHED ITS GRAND FINALE
The atmosphere in Asaba was charged with purpose and renewed optimism as the 2-Day South-South Zonal Summit of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors reached its grand finale today, Tuesday 24 March 2026 at the Event Center, Asaba.
What began as a strategic convergence of stakeholders, grassroots mobilizers, and political advocates culminated in the formal Inauguration of Local Government Area (LGA) and Ward Coordinators, marking a significant milestone in strengthening grassroots engagement across the state.

The 2-Day South-South Zonal Summit, which held at the Press Center, New Government House, Asaba, brought together leaders and participants from across the South-South geopolitical zone. Over two days, deliberations centered on deepening public awareness of national reforms, fostering unity, and equipping ambassadors with the tools required to effectively drive the Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots level.

Day One featured insightful sessions, strategic discussions, and goodwill messages from notable dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Delta State and Chief Host, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori; the Executive Governor of Imo State and National Co-ordinator and DG Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Sen. Hope Uzodinma; Co-ordinator, South-South Zone, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa; Delta State Co-ordinator, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon; amongst others, who emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization in sustaining democratic growth and national development.
The summit’s climax on Day Two was marked by the official Inauguration ceremony, where newly appointed LGA and Ward Co-ordinators were formally presented and charged with the responsibility of driving the Renewed Hope vision within their respective communities. The inauguration signified not just the expansion of the ambassadorial structure, but a renewed commitment to bridging the gap between governance and the people.
As the curtains fell on the Summit, there was a shared sense of purpose and readiness among participants. The successful hosting of the summit and inauguration signifies a growing momentum, one that signals a more coordinated and people-centered approach to advocacy and national development in the South-South region.
Indeed, the Asaba summit will be remembered not just as a gathering, but as a defining moment in the ongoing journey to strengthen grassroots participation and advance the Renewed Hope vision across Nigeria.
