OSHIMILI NORTH LGA PARTNERS WITH FRSC TO IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY

IBUSA: The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North LGA, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, yesterday, 11-03-2025, met with P.O. Obiagbo, the State Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), to discuss measures to tackle road misuse and incessant wrongful and unchecked blockage.

During the visit, Obiagbo emphasized the need to sanitize busy roads and proposed establishing a driver’s license center in the LGA. This initiative would attract driving schools and create job opportunities.

Hon. Esewezie welcomed the collaboration and assured the FRSC of the council’s support in enforcing road safety measures. To address the challenges, he set up a team to implement solutions aimed at eliminating illegal parking and road obstructions, which cause unwarranted inconveniences to motorists.

The partnership is expected to enhance road orderliness and improve traffic flow in the LGA, ensuring a safer and more organized environment for residents and road users.
