ONU EBU PERFORMS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF PHASE 2 OF EBU MODERN MARKET

EBU: Today, the Traditional Ruler of Ebu Kingdom, Onu Ebu, HRM. Obi Paul Odilile Opili performed the foundation-laying ceremony of the new (phase 2) Ebu Modern Market to be constructed by Oshimili North Council.

Recall, that the Phase 1 of Ebu Market had been constructed and was commissoned by His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, in February 2024.

The 2nd phase of the Ebu Modern Market will comprise additional 150 open market stalls and lock-up shops, borehole, modern conveniences and parking lot to enhance trade and commerce in Ebu Kingdom. This development aligns with the PUTA-IFE M.O.R.E Agenda, aimed at fostering economic growth and improving the livelihoods of the people.

During the ceremony, HRM Obi Paul Odilile Opili commended the Council Chairman for his dedication to fulfilling his campaign promises.

The Council Boss, Hon. Innocent Esewezie assured the King and the people of Ebu that the project would be completed on schedule within the stipulated 60days, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North, Hon. Innocent Esewezie had paid a Royal Visit to the Royal Father in his palace before the event.

The event was graced by community leaders, Party leaders in Oshimili North, market stakeholders, and government officials.
