OBUZOR OF IBUSA INAUGURATES TASKFORCE; WITH IKWELE IBUSA AS CHAIRMAN


“We are ready to execute our mandate” – Ikwele

IBUSA: With the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum issued by the Obuzor of Ibusa, HRM Obi (Prof.) Louis C. Nwoboshi, on the ban of illegal tradomedical practices, and in line with the resolutions reached at the Izu Ibusa meeting held on Sunday, February 16, the Obuzor and his Cabinet (Obuzor-in-Council) have officially inaugurated the Taskforce Against Illegal Tradomedical Practices in Ibusa today, Monday, February 17, 2025.

In recognition of his traditional role, the Obuzor appointed/delegated the Ibusa Chief Priest, the Ikwele of Ibusa, High Chief Celestine Okafor, as Chairman of the Taskforce.

The members of the Taskforce who were carefully selected from various Ogbes in Ibusa have been entrusted with the responsibility of enforcing the decisions of the Palace and the broader Ibusa community. They have been urged to uphold integrity and discipline in the discharge of their duties.

Additionally, Ugonwa Ibusa, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, commended the Taskforce members for their willingness to serve while acknowledging their dedication to community service.

Speaking on behalf of the Taskforce, the Chairman, Ikwele Ibusa, assured the people of Ibusa of their commitment to executing their mandate effectively. He also called for collective support to ensure the success of the initiative.
