OBUZOR OF IBUSA INAUGURATES INTERIM YOUTH BODY
On Tuesday, 27th May 2025, His Royal Majesty, Obi Prof. Louis Chelunor Nwoboshi, the Obuzor of Ibusa, officially inaugurated a 13-member Interim Youth Leadership Council at his palace. The ceremony marked a significant step in strengthening youth governance in Ibusa, following a formal request by the youth body for interim leadership on Monday, 26th May 2025 to which they personally nominated 12 persons..
Hon. Patrick Nwankwo was named President of the newly formed Alum Ibusa, with members drawn equally from the three ruling Otus: Otu Odogwu, Otu Uwolor, and Otu Iyase. The interim team is tasked with overseeing youth affairs and organizing credible elections within a two-month mandate.
Present at the inauguration was Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, Executive Chairman of Oshimili North LGA, who charged the youths to embrace service, unity, and responsibility, urging them to deliver a transparent and inclusive electoral process.

All previous youth leadership structures, including surveillance and other committees, have been dissolved. The interim council now holds full responsibility for youth administration in Ibusa pending the emergence of a duly elected executive.
