OBI CUBANA, OBI UKALA, PROF EGWUNYENGA, OTHERS PRESENT AS ESEWEZIE CELEBRATES NEW YAM FESTIVAL IN IBUSA
IBUSA: The IBUSA IWAJI FESTIVAL (New Yam Festival) is an annual celebration observed by every son and daughter of Ibusa origin in thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest season and offering prayers for better planting season.

UGONWA IBUSA, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, on Wednesday, September 10, joyously hosted family, friends, and dignitaries at his Idumujeze residence in Ibusa during the annual Iwaji (New Yam) Festival.
This year’s colourful celebration, rooted in Igbo culture, was remarkably graced by Chief Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), who pledged to bring impactful investments to Oshimili North.

Other very distinguished guests included traditional rulers, political leaders, and academics such as; HRM Obi Clement Ejiofor, Obi of Ukala Kingdom who graciously presented a Royal Gift, A GOLDEN EAGLE, to Hon. Innocent Esewezie as a token of his fatherly love.
Also present were, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, Mr. Olise Ifeajika, and Hon. Austin Nnabuife-Ojogbue amongst many others.



The festival showcased the rich Ibusa culture and tradition, songs, dances and feasting, reaffirming Iwaji as both cultural pride and economic promise.
