Igbuzo Stakeholders Suggest Ways To Curb Land Tussle
Following the brutal and mindless killing of one Ogbeowele Youth; Mr Adim Izuka Ogbogu, the Obuzor-in-Council having recently visited the family of the deceased and the houses burnt have called a meeting of Igbuzo youths and other stakeholders to solicit their support on how best to curb the unbecoming menace of illegal, illicit and wanton sales of ancestral lands and it’s attendant negative effects on the Igbuzo community and the people.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, Ugo-Nwa Igbuzo, while addressing the youths and stakeholders at the meeting which held at the Palace of the Obuzor, noted that for Igbuzo to undergo the desired sanitization, the youths remain critical players and have a major role to play.
Esewezie further asked that the decision of the Palace in curbing this ugly trend should be communicated to the Office of the Executive Chairman for proper implementation.
Several suggestions and resolutions were arrived at in the course of the interactive meeting.
- Some other persons present at the meeting includes; Chief Celestine Okafor (Ikwele Igbuzo), Chief Amaechi Nwaenia (Uwolo Igbuzo), Dr Austin Obidi, Comrade Ifeanyi Nwaezeigwe (SSA to the Governor), Comrade Alfred Isoh (immediate past IYC President), Mr George Nkenchor (former IYC President) and Ogbe youths presidents.
