IBUSA PEACE RECONCILIATION AND TRUTH COMMITTEE LED BY ESEWEZIE MEETS WITH OTU-UWOLO
IBUSA: Sequel to the February peaceful reconciliation achieved in Umuodafe Quarter of Ibusa and in consonant with the already laid down “Peace Template”, the Ibusa Peace Reconciliation and Truth Committee moved on to the 3rd stage on the template which is “Meeting with Otu-Uwolo”.
Ugonwa-Igbuzo, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, today, Monday 29th April 2024, led a 4-man delegation comprising of himself; High Chief Celestine Okafor, Ikwele Igbuzo; Onowu Austin Abuah, Ugo-Ekea; and Onowu Victor Uchuno, PG ICDU Worldwide, on a meeting with the Diokpa Otu-Uwolo and Otu-Uwolo in general.
The meeting which held at the residence of the Diokpa of Otu-Uwolo cum Senior Diokpa of Igbuzo, Onowu Paul Ijeh, had in attendance the Diokpa of Umuodafe, Onwa Igbuzo, Chief Amaechi Nwaenia, other chiefs, elders and youths of Otu-Uwolo.
While addressing Otu-Uwolo, Chief Barr. Fred Ajudua stated that Otu-Uwolo, having been accused of doing wrongly, today seek peace and that the issue of Uwolorship cannot divide the community. He further said, “the State government has stated in very clear terms that the Prescribed Authority is the Obuzor of Igbuzo”.
On his part, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, specifically thanked his Peace Committee for remaining steadfast in ensuring peace is achieved and also appreciated all who have contributed in one way or the other towards the peaceful reconciliatory moves. He further stated that his committee remains committed in ensuring peace returns to Ibusa this year, 2024 as they progress Ibusa to the final stage which is “Meeting with Obuzor and Obuzor-in-Council”
