HONORABLE INNOCENT ESEWEZIE OFFICIALLY INAUGURATES LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE ON FOOD AND NUTRITION (LGCFN)

AKWUKWU-IGBO: The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, today, Tuesday 4th of November 2025, inaugurated the Local Government Committee on Food and Nutrition (LGCFN) as part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening nutrition governance and promoting food security across the Local Government.

The Food and Nutrition Committee is charged with developing and implementing strategies to address malnutrition, improve dietary and nutritional practices, and ensure access to safe and nutritious food for all residents, particularly women and children.

Hon. Esewezie further added that the initiative aligns with the approval of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for the establishment of LGCFN in all 25 Local Government Areas thus reflecting the State Government’s priority on Public Health and productivity.
