HON. ESEWEZIE MOVES TO RESOLVE LAND DISPUTE BETWEEN ILLAH AND ANIWALO COMMUNITIES IN OSHIMILI NORTH

The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, has taken steps to mediate a longstanding land dispute between the Illah community and Aniwalo, both within the LGA. He received a high-powered delegation from the Ajaji Family Union in Illah, led by Ogbuenyi Onochie Mordi, at the council secretariat.

Hon. Esewezie emphasized that peaceful dialogue remains the most effective approach to conflict resolution. He announced plans for an expanded stakeholders’ meeting involving both communities, aimed at finding lasting solutions to the boundary disagreement that has caused tension and unrest.

He urged all parties to prioritize peace, stressing that no community can progress amid conflict. He further noted that peaceful coexistence is essential for sustainable development and the building of a united and resilient Oshimili North.
