HON. ESEWEZIE INSPECTS ONGOING UMEJEI ROAD RECONSTRUCTION IN IBUSA, TASK RESIDENTS ON GOOD MAINTENANCE CULTURE

IBUSA: The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, today 25 November 2025, undertook an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction work along Umejei Road in Ibusa, a strategic infrastructure project driven by the M.O.R.E Agenda of His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. The project, which involves road expansion and the installation of dual-side drains, holds great significance for the community, with its positive economic impact already becoming visible.

During the visit along with his team, Esewezie appealed to residents and business owners to refrain from dumping refuse into the drainage channels, noting that such actions lead to blockages and undermine the purpose of the infrastructure.

To further support the State Government’s efforts and in alignment with the PUTA-IFE M.O.R.E Agenda blueprint of his administration, the Council Chairman announced the formation of a committee that will oversee and enforce the prescribed beautification standards for all commercial structures along the entire Umejei Road corridor.
