Hon. Esewezie Honored for Humanitarian Impact by G.O.O.F.

IBUSA: The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, was honored today, Wednesday January 8, with a Meritorious Award by the Gloria Okonkwo Onyekachi Foundation (G.O.O.F.) for his “outstanding contributions and humanitarian support to community service “. The Award presentation was part of the official Launch of the foundation, held at Omu Boys Primary School, Ibusa.

The G.O.O.F. is an indigenous foundation founded by an illustrious daughter of Ibusa and a seasoned philanthropist. Its mission is centered on empowering women and the girl child by providing them with essential skills and starter packs to enhance self-reliance. Additionally, the foundation extends its support to vulnerable members of the community, ensuring they have access to opportunities for growth and development.

Representing Hon. Esewezie at the event, the leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Chris Nwamgbor, expressed his gratitude to the foundation for the Award. He commended the founder, Gloria Okonkwo Onyekachi, for her remarkable vision and dedication to community development. Hon. Esewezie acknowledged the positive impact of the foundation’s initiatives, emphasizing their importance in fostering empowerment and social inclusion.

The event which had Chief Tony Azuya as Chairman also witnessed the presence of dignitaries such as Comrade Austin Ajufo, Secretary to Local Government; Hon. Austin Nnabuife; Isioma Okonji, SA to the Governor on Women Development; Bishop C. Okonkwo; Mr Ken Mafua, E.A to the Governor; Chief Charles Okonkwo; Mr Acho Nonyalim amongst many others.
