Support Young LGA Council Chairmen Who Have Delivered On Mandates – Gov. Oborevwori
Today, Thursday 22nd February 2024, was indeed a day of Harvest of Projects in Oshimili North LGA even as Local Government Council Administrations in the 25LGAs are rounding up their tenure in Office.
The Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, today commissioned projects in Akwukwu-Igbo and Ebu communities while also touring ongoing project site in Ugbolu community all in Oshimili North LGA.
The said projects which were executed by the first timer Executive Chairman, Hon. Innocent Esewezie and commissioned were:
Multipurpose Town hall, Akwukwu-Igbo; the biggest Town Hall in the council area and which shares a fence with the primary school.
Also commissioned was the Phase 1 30-Open Stall Market, Ebu.
Esewezie, while giving his Opening speech hinted that plans are ongoing to provide a standby generating set for the Town Hall as it will also be supplying water to the primary school and the public.
Stating further, he also mentioned that future plans includes upgrading the 30 open stalls market to 200 stalls.
The Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, ably representing the Executive Governor, lauded the Council Chairman for his numerous lauded projects since he assumed Office noting that his 3 years in office is in tandem with Gov. Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
Onyeme further posited that it has been observed across the 25LGAs of the State that “younger Council Chairmen have been noted to have delivered exceptionally on their mandate with retinue of People-Oriented projects like has been observed in Oshimili North”. And thus he called on the people to keep supporting young Chairman as this was also in line of the M.O.R.E Agenda.
