NYCN SOUTH-SOUTH ZONE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ONLG COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, COMMENDS HIS YOUTH-CENTERED LEADERSHIP


IBUSA – Yesterday, Wednesday August 12, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), South-South Zone, led by its Vice President, Comrade Kenneth Okorie, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Are@ of Delta State, Olorogun Innocent Esewezie as part of activities marking the 2026 International Youth Day.


The engagement provided a valuable platform for meaningful interaction and robust discussions on issues affecting young people, youth empowerment, leadership development and the future of our communities. The Council Boss used the opportunity to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youths and ensuring that they remain active stakeholders in grassroots governance and development.


The South-South NYCN Vice President, Comrade Okorie presented a Medal of Recognition, aptly tagged “Too Much Ability in Zezebility,” to the Council Chairman, Hon. Innocent Esewezie in appreciation of his administration’s commitment to youth development, inclusive governance and grassroots leadership. Equally significant was the overwhelming endorsement and expression of support for his candidature for the Oshimili North Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly come 2027.

In his remark, Esewezie deeply appreciated the recognition stating that “it is a strong encouragement to do even more for our young people” and the confidence from the youth bidy is both an honour and a responsibility and he remains committed to carrying their aspirations with him and building a stronger political future where young people have a meaningful voice, greater opportunities and a seat at the table.


The future belongs to the prepared, and together, we are preparing our youths to lead.
