ESEWEZIE, OJEOGBUE, OTHERS PRESENT AT COMMISSIONING OF 500KVA TRANSFORMER FOR UMUISOR/OKPONTA/ITEGO LAYOUT
IBUSA: Residents of Umuisor, Okponta and Ite-Ego Layout in Ibusa erupted in celebration on Sunday, 21 June 2026, as the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, alongside the APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Austin Nnabuife, officially commissioned a newly installed 500KVA transformer to enhance electricity supply in the community.
The commissioning ceremony attracted residents, landlords, community leaders, stakeholders and party supporters who gathered to witness the activation of the transformer. The project was widely hailed as a major milestone that will stimulate economic growth, improve security and significantly enhance the quality of life in the rapidly expanding area.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr Awolor Henry, expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Esewezie and everyone who contributed to the successful execution of the project. He described the transformer as a long-awaited intervention that would boost commercial activities and support the overall development of the community while reaffirming their support for the Council Chairman, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Oshimili North State House of Assembly seat.
He further added, amongst other, that the community would benefit greatly if they could have a polling unit from INEC.
In his address, Hon. Esewezie thanked the people for their unwavering support and confidence in his administration. He further urged residents to extend their support to all APC candidates, calling for a resounding “5/5 victory” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and himself in the forthcoming elections. And gave his assurance that their further request would be looked into including the need to support registration of voters.
Thereafter, the APC LGA Chairman, had the honour of officially commissioning the transformer to the Glory of God.
