ESEWEZIE, PGS of communities meet; ahead of the upcoming Oshimili North security summit.
IBUSA – On Thursday, 18th of June 2026, the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie, hosted President Generals of various communities in his office.

During the interactive session, Hon. Esewezie thanked the community leaders for their steadfast support, cooperation, and dedication to maintaining peace and driving development across the local government area. He described the President Generals as vital stakeholders who continue to strengthen the relationship between government and the grassroots.
The Council Chairman informed the gathering of a forthcoming “Oshimili North Security Summit” scheduled for coming week. The summit aims to review and reinforce the security framework of Oshimili North. He stressed that security is a shared responsibility and called for full participation from all communities to ensure its success.
The event will convene security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, vigilante groups, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable strategies for tackling emerging security challenges while preserving the prevailing peace.
Hon. Esewezie urged the President Generals to keep engaging their communities on peace, unity, and development. He also solicited continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Ogbuenyi Tony Nwegbu commended Hon. Esewezie’s proactive leadership in security, community engagement, and infrastructure. The leaders pledged their unwavering collaboration for the summit and the overall progress of Oshimili North.
