COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE NORTH-NORTH STAKEHOLDERS MEETING HELD ON MAY 1, 2026 AT ATUMA-IGA, OSHIMILI NORTH LGA

At a well-attended meeting of stakeholders, leaders, and elders of North-North in Oshimili North Local Government Area, held this day, May 1, 2026, to deliberate on political alignment and consolidation ahead of the forthcoming general elections, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:

1. We reiterate our implicit confidence in His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for his visible development strides across Delta State and Oshimili North LGA in particular. We hereby affirm him as our sole candidate for the Governorship of Delta State in the next election cycle.
2. That we restate our preference for the position of Local Government Chairman of Oshimili North and remain resolute.
3. That we fully support and endorse the decision of Ibusa stakeholders adopting Hon. Innocent Esewezie for the position of Member, Delta State House of Assembly.
4. That we adopt and uphold the Ibusa Axis decision on the unanimous zoning agreement ceding the House of Assembly seat to Ibusa and the Local Government Chairmanship to North-North, in the interest of equity, fairness, and political stability within Oshimili North LGA.
5. That we resolve to reach out to our brother, Hon. Barr. Frank Esenwah, for consolidation on the way forward, in the spirit of brotherhood and unity of purpose.

This communique reflects the collective will and political understanding of North-North stakeholders, communicated in good faith, and in the interest of the general Public.
