1. Reinforced Ban on Scavenging Activities

The committee resolved to intensify the enforcement of the existing ban on scavengers, ensuring strict compliance throughout the Local Government Area, in accordance with the law.

2. Strategic Implementation of the Anti-Open Grazing Law

A dedicated committee was constituted to develop actionable templates and modalities for the effective enforcement of the Anti-Open Grazing Law. This will address security challenges posed by uncontrolled grazing activities.

3. Strict Enforcement of Curfew on Tricycle Operations

The committee resolved to rigorously implement the Delta State law prohibiting tricycle operations beyond 10:00 PM in urban centers, particularly in Ibusa and Okpanam, to enhance nighttime security.

4. Collaboration with the Nigerian Immigration Service

A strategic partnership will be established with the Nigerian Immigration Service to tackle the influx of illegal immigrants into Oshimili North. This proactive measure aims to repel unauthorized entries and bolster local security.

5. Ban on Self-Help in Land Acquisition

In alignment with the 2023 Oshimili North Private and Public Property Protection Law, the committee resolved to enforce the prohibition of self-help methods in land acquisition and property disputes. Violators will face stringent legal consequences to maintain order and justice.
