THANK YOU MY GOOD PEOPLE OF OSHIMILI NORTH

Gertrude Stein, an American Poet said that silent gratitude doesn’t mean anything to anyone. This underscores the value of expressing appreciations. When we feel grateful, that feeling is meant to be shared as posited by Gertrude.
It is on this note that I wish to expressly and sincerely appreciate the good People of Oshimili North Local Government Area for giving me the privilege to serve them.
I am no doubt humbled to have served the various Communities in the Local Government for the past three (3) years in office. The Public trust of service and advocating for your collective interests to improve our Communities is the highest honour anyone could wish for, and this left me with the enthusiasm to succeed, evident in the public assessment and testimonies. This we achieved by upholding the true tenets of good governance, which is anchored on developmental activities.
I wish to also remark on the trajectory of progress recorded as Executive Chairman with productive alliance with the Legislative Arm of the Council, not forgetting to mention the quality service provided by the Civil Servants under our administration and leadership.
I remain grateful to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the immediate Past Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for their shared values which have given me the worthy platform for service delivery.
Within three (3) years in office, this tenure recorded projects visibly seen standing tall in many Communities in the Local Government, Laws and Policies that have given rest to our People, Programs that endeared affection, Health assurance to our People, Empowerment and Employment opportunities amongst many others in view of the transformational agenda that was collectively bargained with my Team having me as the Team leader.
Our dear Traditional Rulers were Fathers of fate in service. I never thought of the Chieftaincy title as a mark of honour until I was called to this understanding knowing that I was in their good book hence, the title of ‘Ezi-nwajiani’ of Oshimili North Local Government Area and Ugonwa Igbuzo. I will never take the consistent blessings from our royal fathers for granted.
Let me extend my humble appreciation to the Leaders of our great Party, the People’s Democratic Party, for their understanding of People Oriented Politics, which was the formula used in creating a path for unhindered governance and their team spirit in extending democratic dividends to our people.
Remarkably, was my birthday on the 8th of March 2024 that ushered me to the 5th floor which coincided with the same date we concluded the 3-year tenure system, so there was much need to thank God for the life we live and I am most thankful to all who graced the historic occasion that provided the platform for all and sundry to joyfully celebrate people-oriented achievement.
To my dear People of Oshimili North Local Government, this may be the end of one chapter, but there is much more to be written as I look forward to the new chapters with my growing team, political associates and supporters of good governance. As the Most High God has been guiding us with his light, we will continue to advocate for you in which ever capacity we find ourselves.
There is no doubt that there are great prospects in our Local Government, and God willing, we will always find ourselves in those positions that will afford us the opportunities to keep turning the fortunes of our communities for good.
I will not end this appreciation message without commending the good effort of the Local and Conventional security operatives in our Local Government. The synergy was laudably productive, even when it seems that the security threat were gathering momentum, we were able to surmount it and restore hope and confidence to our people.
It is my humble Prayer that we will all live in Strength, Unity and Faith as we remain in the good sight of God Almighty (Amen)
